Masami Nakayama has extensive experience across a wide range of technical disciplines including ship business development, initial F/S to FEED activities, design evaluation, shipbuilding contracting, conversion planning, construction supervision, and operations management.After having experienced various types of vessels such as containerships, VLCCs, car carriers, etc, He has been in charge of various LNG carrier projects since 2008.Nakayama has been involved in the LNG industry for more than 15 years and has also led specialized LNG projects such as icebreaking LNG carriers and FSRUs.

His carrier also includes overseas experiences, including designing and supervising the construction of a China-built LNG carrier in Shanghai, and leading the business and technology development of FSRUs for Europe, South America, and Asia in London and Singapore.Currently Nakayama is leading the planning and development of cryo-powered regas FSRUs and ammonia FSRUs in the field of technology developmen, working to further transform existing FSRUs by introducing new technologies and setting a new trend in the decarbonized society.
