Erkam Yıldırım is the CEO of Derin Shipping and serves on its board of directors. Derin Shipping was founded in 1999 in Turkiye by Erkam & Captain Bulent Yıldırım brothers and their sister Bahar Busra Yıldırım with the goal of making international investments and operations in the field of maritime. Before being named CEO in August 2005, Erkam was Derin Shipping's chief operating officer and was responsible for all of the company's worldwide sales and operations, including end-to-end management of Derin Shipping 's supply chain, sales activities, and service and support in all markets and countries. He also headed Derin Shipping's Business Development division and played a key role in the continued development of strategic reseller and supplier relationships, ensuring flexibility in response to an increasingly demanding marketplace.

As a Founder of Zealand Shipping B.V, He also holds the role of Strategic Business Devepment Executive and continues to serve as shareholder and board member since 2007. Aside of being an 2020 FSRU investor, He has played an active role in numerous transportation and logistics industry organizations, summits and exhibitions including being invited as frequent public speaker of business strategies, future business trends and active management strategies topics. He is a success-driven entreprenuer who always seeks for new ideas and has substantial investments to support ambitious new entreprenuers in multi-sectors. Erkam Yıldırım received a bachelor's degree in Maritime Business from Southampton Solent University in United Kingdom. Erkam is Turkish, was born in Istanbul - Turkiye, in 1981, proud father of 2 kids, and a passionate voyager. Active in community affairs, Erkam currently serves on a number of non-profit organisations as a volunteer.
